Health, Water Supply, Sanitation & Hygiene
DDRC has extensive experience in providing access to clean water and sanitation in community’s areas. We have implemented numerous programs that have improved the health and well-being of countless individuals and families. Our approach to water supply and sanitation is comprehensive, focusing not only on infrastructure development but also on community education and engagement. We believe that sustainable change can only be achieved through the active participation and ownership of the communities we serve. Over the years, we have completed many more project on the water supply and sanitation filed by the support of INGO and, government agencies. Our projects have ranged from constructing new water systems and sanitation facilities to rehabilitating existing infrastructure and promoting hygiene and sanitation practices. Through our work, we have seen firsthand the transformative impact of access to clean water and sanitation. Children are able to attend school regularly and families are able to live healthy, productive lives. We are committed to continuing our efforts to bring this basic human right to those who need it most. With the project's assistance, we have built 600 toilets in community areas and provided awareness and capacity building training to retain attention and maintain WASH structures in their homes. We have also donated wash-material items to the school in the working area to create the sanitation atmosphere.
We have completed many more activities such as installing 700 shallow towels for the drinking water. supported more than 2000 toilets materials to the community people, constructing 24 handwashing centers in 24 schools, repairing and maintaining the school building, and constructing a water supply and sanitation structure. We also helped the ward office and the health office build a hand washing station, which resulted in a better environment for drinking water and sanitation development. We delivered first aid kits to school, as part of our effort to help them maintain student’s health. We also provided hygiene kits to 700 adolescent girls in the COVID-19 period because of which adolescent girls had been used hygiene kits to safe from the Covid-19. We also declared ODF previously VDCs Bahurwabhatta, Bahuwaripidari, and Hariharpurbirta. During the project intervention as capacity building for VDCs employees, DWACC and VWACC members, and working area-related committee members. With the project's assistance spread awareness and given capacity building training to retain attention and maintain WASH structures in the community people homes. We have also technical support to the local government to prepare WASH strategy plan during the COVID-19 period and currently, local has been endorsed that policy in palika level.
